Ingredients

  • 2 clove garlic
  • 2 cm ginger, stem
  • 100 gram brown onion
  • 30 gram Butter, vegan
  • 1 level tbsp garam masala
  • 1 level teaspoons curry powder
  • 1 level teaspoons coriander seed, ground
  • 1/4 level teaspoons chilli powder
  • 1/4 level teaspoons ground turmeric
  • 270 gram coconut milk
  • 30 gram tomato paste
  • 1 level tbsp Vegetable stock paste, from Basic Cookbook
  • 50 gram water, optional
  • 400 gram chickpea, dried, Optional. Can sub for tofu. Pre-cooked as per instructions on slow cooked recipe. or use a can.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place garlic and ginger into mixing bowl. Place measuring cup onto lid and chop 4secs speed7.
  2. Without scraping bowl. Place brown onion, halved, into bowl and chop 2secs speed7.
  3. Weigh butter into bowl and Saute for 2.30mins, 120deg, speed
  4. Add all spices into bowl. Cook for 5mins, 100deg, speedGentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"
  5. Weigh chickpeas into bowl.
  6. Weigh in coconut milk.
  7. Add vegetable stock paste and water (optional) if not steaming veggies in Varoma on top is recommended.
  8. Cook 15mins, 90deg, speed 1.
