Base & Topping
- 250 g Butter
- 200 g brown sugar
- 10 g vanilla essence
- 180 g flour
- 65 g oats, quick
- 65 g rolled oats
- 1 tsp baking powder
- .5 tsp salt
- 70 g dessicated coconut
Condensed milk (x2 cans)
- 80 g Butter
- 250 g water
- 300 g sugar
- 220 g milk powder
- .5 tsp salt
Caramel
- 160 g Butter
- 60 g brown sugar
- 35 g golden syrup

- ** Check the ingredients and method on your TM6 before starting the recipe, sometimes when bringing over a recipe it can be muddled **
As the recipe suggests, you can make the equivliant of x2 cans of condensed milk or else add x2 cans to the Thermomix bowl before adding the caramel ingredients (step 7) - Weigh in 250g butter and melt. 3 mins 60 degrees speed 2.5
- Scrape down sides of bowl. Weigh in brown sugar, vanilla, flour, oats, baking powder, salt and coconut. 4 seconds speed
- Transfer 2/3 of mixture to a lined slice tin and press down firmly. Transfer 1/3 mix to a bowl and set aside
- In a clean bowl weigh in 80g butter and water. 3 mins Varoma temp speed 2. Replace measuring cup with simmering basket
- Weigh in sugar, milk powder and salt. Insert measuring cup and blend for 1 minute speed 10
- Scrape down the sides of the bowl and weigh in 160g butter, brown sugar and golden syrup. 20 minutes 100 degrees speed 3
- Pre heat oven to 160 degrees. Scrape sides of bowl. 6 minutes Varoma temp speed 3
- Pour caramel ontop of base. Bake for 15 minutes, then allow to cool for 10 minutes
- Sprinkle over remaining base mixture ontop of caramel and bake again for 25 minutes
- Once out of the oven sprinkle with sea salt. Allow to fully cool before slicing (ideally once it has chilled in the fridge for a couple hours)

For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
