These are great. I didn't use the butter and they turned out great!
I did a double batch & they havent risen at all, I also added the butter with the other wet stuff, I wonder if the ratio was thrown off by the double amount? The batter was very stiff when spooned into the pan, did others find that or was the mix more runny???
Really yummy and easy recipe, definitely taste better if they're eaten warm (we put them in the mocrowave for 15 seconds to re-heat). Thanks!
Awesome. Big hit and so easy- we had visitors for dinner, someone mentioned jam doughnuts and 20 mins later we were eating these! I added the butter at the end as I realised I still had a bowl of melted butter when I was about to put the batter in the muffin tray!
just mixes easier I guess .....softened butter would be great too !!
Ang
great tasting, I added the butter in when the other wet ingredients were added. I reduced the amount of butter and am going to try this with wholemeal flour to make them slightly more healthy
Just wondering when do use the melted butter?
