I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add butter and condensed milk to bowl and cook for
    - 15 min
    - 100degrees
    - speed 2

    MC off
  2. Add redskins thru Lid over a 5 min period (cut each redskin into 2-3 pieces as you add them)

This will stop the redskins from gathering and jamming the blades; it will also allow for them to melt easier within the mixture
  3. Add chocolate melts thru the lid and cook for a further - 2 min
    - 50 degrees
    - speed 3
    OR until melted and combined

    MC off
  4. pour into a slice tin lined with baking paper, let cool and then refridgerate
  5. Cut into squares

    Keep refridgerated for firmness

Tip

** Cooking while adding the cut up redskins thru the lid helps ensure the blades dont jam as Redskins can be quite sticky

** The additional chocolate & cook time assists with the firmness of the fudge

** add sprinkles to the top of the fudge for more fun

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Great way to use up these lollies. Redskin lollly glavour that is softer and less tacky to chew, safer for our teeth 👍. Like all fudge it ia sickly sweet, sharing it around is a bonus.

This worked up well, I followed recipe. Used 220g apx of the large normal sized red skins. Weighed them while the condensed milk warmed for 5 min.
    Cut them up!!

Cooled and now in the fridge!!!
    Hope it works well

Easy to make and tastes good. The chocolate flavour is over powering the redskin though, if I make again I’ll try it with a bit less and see how it turns out.
