Ingredients

Aussie's Vegetarian Shepherd's Pie

  • 600 gram cold water
  • 20 gram Rice Bran Oil
  • 1 --- medium onion
  • 350 gram Frozen Mixed Vegetables (Peas,Corn,Carrot Mix)
  • 800 gram hot water
  • 650 gram potatoes (cut in pieces)
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • 20 gram Nuttelex butter
  • 70 gram Textured Vegetables Protein
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon dried mixed herbs
  • 1 cans lentils (430g ) Drained
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 100 gram soy milk
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • 3 teaspoons Vegetable stock paste

Recipe's preparation

  1. Insert peeler and press down to secure. Place 650g potatoes and 600g of the water into mixing bowl, Close Lid Closed lid with measuring cup on the lid ,then start the Peeler mode for 4 min. drain potatoes Using Varoma dish
  2. Place 800g Hot Water in mixing bowl place lid on,
    now place the Varoma Dish on and weigh in 650g Potatoes, cut in pieces,
    now place the Varoma lid on, steam 25 min/Varoma/speed 2
  3. Take the Varoma lid off (**CAREFULL AS THIS WILL BE VERY HOT! **) Now take the Varoma Dish off the mixing bowl & set it to 1 side, now Empty Out the Water of the mixing bowl (See Tips)
  4. Insert butterfly whisk into the mixing bowl. Place cooked potatoes,into the mixing bowl & add ¼ tsp Sea Salt, 100g Soy Milk and 20g Nuttelex mash potatoes for 2 min/speed 3 Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula.
  5. Time To Turn The Oven On & pre-Heat it to 200c
  6. Add 70g Textured Vegetables Protein (1/2 Cup) in Boiling water in a bowl Mix in until twice the size then drain water of any Water & rinse well , Set to 1 side While Prepping Other Items (See Tips For More Info)
  7. Add 20g Rice Bran Oil 1 Med Onion, 4 sec/speed 5 Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula Add 350g Frozen Mixed Vegetables, place simmering basket in place of measuring cup, sauté 15 min/120°C//speed 1 Check to see if cooked (if not repeat for 5-10 mins)
  8. Add ¼ tsp Sea Salt , and 2 Tablespoon Tomato Paste, ½ Teaspoon Mixed Herbs, 1 Tablespoon Soy Sauce, 1 Can Of 430g Canned lentils Drained 2 Tablespoons Flour, with simmering basket in place of measuring cup, cook 15 min/110°C//speed 1
  9. Add 1Tablespoon Chicken Stock Powder, 1Tablespoon cornflour to the Textured Vegetables Protein
  10. Add The 70g Textured Vegetables Protein to the mixing bowl Mix 30 sec/speed
  11. Transfer to a baking dish ( approx. 30 cm x 20 cm)
  12. Now Add The mashed potato on top of the TVP & Lentils Mix.
  13. Now Place in Oven & Bake at 200C for 30 minutes then take out & Serve & Enjoy

Tip

This dish can be made ahead of time And then reheated for 35-40 minutes ( 190°C )
