Ingredients
Shortcrust pastry
- 1 portion shortcrust pastry from EDC
Filling
- 30 grams Butter
- 750 grams red onion
- 1 1/2 heaped tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 1/2 level tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 heaped teaspoon Thyme
- 100 grams feta cheese
Garnish
- thyme sprigs

Preheat oven to 180 C. Using a 5cm round cutter, cut out 24 circles of pastry. Place in lightly greased patty tins and bake for 15min, or until golden
Place half onions in bowl roughly chop 3 sec/speed 5, put aside. Repeat.
Add all onions, sugar, butter, balsamic vinegar and thyme and sauté, 30min on Varoma "Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 2
Spoon into the pastry shells. Crumble the feta over the tartlets. Top with sprigs of thyme and serve

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.
