I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
Preheat oven to 220C, prepare 3 baking trays with bake paper. Defrost Pastry.
Blitz garlic, speed 7 for 3 sec.
Add vegetables, speed 7 for 15 sec.
Remove skin from sausage meat and add meat to bowl with veg. Add other ingredients.
Mix reverse speed 6 for 20-30 sec, or until combined. It may help to put the Thermomix spatula in the hole to keep the mixture moving.
Defrost pastry and cut the sheets in half so that you have 2 rectangles.
Place the sausage meat along the rectangle sheets of pastry and roll into a log shape.
Cut the logs into desired lengths - I make 4 small sausage rolls per log.
Brush on the egg wash (break the extra egg into a bowl and mix with a fork)
Sprinkle sesame seeds if using, and pierce a hole in each sausage roll (this allows steam to escape while cooking).
Place on a tray and bake until golden brown (approximately 20 min).

Tip
Note: You can use any vegetable that doesn't contain too much water, I'd steer clear of zucchinis, but pumpkin and sweet potato would work well.
These freeze really well, perfect for a party.

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

these are great awesome to use up vegies I added zucchini onion and pumpkin and no tasted them I also out vege stock instead of paste Definately become a regular in our house
Thanks. Great and easy.
I doubled the recipe, then split snag meat in half, added chutney and worstershire to,one half, and curry powder to the other, which I sprinkled with poppy seeds to note difference. Both a huge hit.
Note to self: way better to cut pastry sheets in half and make short fat ones, than try for long skinny ones which are more like sausage 'folds' than rolls.
So tasty - I was looking after 4 boys and decided to make these for lunch and they were a HUGE hit! I used the vegetables in the recipe and went to my local butcher who makes his own sausages and used pork ones. They were delicious! Thanks Nicole.
Really nice sausage rolls I added tomato chutney to my mix. They were a hit at our party and were the first to go.
Delicious sausage rolls. I added carrot, sweet potato and zucchini. My kids and their friends loved them. Will definitely be making these again.
