Mexican Meat Turnovers

  • 250 g Beef mince
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 pinches chilli powder
  • 1 green capsicum
  • 1/2 can tomatoes
  • 20 g tomato paste
  • 65 g water
  • 1 cube beef stock paste
  • 150 g red kidney beans
  • 2 packages Puff pastry, Or as needed. Freeze extra portions
  • 1 egg, For glazing

  1. Add cubed onion and garlic into mixing bowl.
    Chop 5 sec / sped 4AWSEWS2Q
  2. Add minced meat. Cook 10 mins/80 deg / Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"
  3. Add chilli powder, Tomatoes, tomato paste, water, stock.
    Simmer without lid 30 mins / 90 deg / Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" speed 2.
    Continue to simmer if mix is still quite wet
  4. Add drained beans.
    Combine 10 sec / Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"
  5. Roll out puff pastry and cut out with 9cm rounds. Add 2 teaspoons - 1 tablespoon of mix to puff pastry.
    Fold into semicircles, use egg to seal edges.
    Lay on baking trays and bake until gold

Tip

Can use the mix and pastry in a pie maker or tacos
freeze unused portions
