Ingredients

Nushi's Tomato and Zucchini Flats

  • 450 g tomatoes, quartered, skin on
  • 150 g zucchini, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 large capsicum, optional
  • 60 g flaxseed/linseed
  • 60 g Black Chia seeds
  • 60 g sunflower seeds
  • 1 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1-2 tsp Himalayan salt
  • 1/2 tsp mixed spice

Recipe's preparation

    Here's how to make the magic happen..........

    Place all ingredients in TM bowl and roughly chop for 20 sec/Sp 6.

     

    Scrape down sides and blend for another 20 sec/Sp 6.

     

    Spread out and dehydrate for overnight, break apart and store in an airtight container.  You will know when the flats are ready, they will ‘snap’ easily, if they still have a bit of give when you try to snap them, the moisture has not yet fully been taken out.  Dehydrate a little longer.

     

    I have not attempted any dehydrating in an oven, but if you are familiar with how to do that, you can attempt this recipe in that way also.

     

    I get about 2 ½ - 3 dehydrator trays worth of product from one recipe.

Tip

Taste's great with the hommus from the chip.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

    I love these, the recipe works brilliantly every single time. Great for a cheeseboard, lunch boxes, snacks and the baby love gnawing on them too. Much tastier and healthier than a shop bought packet cracker! Last for AGES too.

    These were great,thank you! I only had one dehydrator tray thingy without holes so I used a mesh one and cut a peice of non-stick baking paper to place on top and it worked well. Really tasty and healthy, thanks so much!
