Ingredients
- 1 onion (peeled and quartered)
- 1 garlic clove (peeled)
- 5g olive oil
- 1 packet sausage mince OR 500g pork & veal mince
- 1/2 tsp iodised salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 tsp cracked pepper (or to taste)
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper (or to taste)
- 1 egg
- 1 tblsp tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
- 1 sml zucchini (roughly chopped)
- 2 carrots (no need to peel, but chop into 2 cm bits)
- 1 apple (cored and seeds removed, no need to peel)
- 4-6 sheets puff pastry
- Chia seeds to sprinkle on top

- 1. Pre heat oven to 190 C. Blitz onion and garlic 3 sec/sp 7. Scrape and repeat, Cook 3 mins/100C/sp 3 in olive oil.
- 2.Add veggies into mixing jug and chop 5 sec/sp 6.
- 3.Add mince along with everything else and mix on reverse 10 sec/sp 4 - You may need to use the spatula to push mixture down while mixing.
- 4.Place two strips of mix vertical along a sheet of puff pastry. Cut sheets in half and roll into sausage roll shape. Use a small amount of milk to help pastry to stick together. Baste top with a little milk or egg wash and sprinkle with chia seeds.
- 5.Cook in a hot oven (190°C) for approx 15-20 mins until golden on a lined baking tray.

Delicous! Whole family loves them. The first time I missed adding the apple because it said add veggies and didn't mention the apple.. so I blitzed it separately and added it. Won't make that mistake again though.
I misread the "or" in meat and used 500g beef sausage mince and 500g pork/veal mince. The end result was so yummy i'll be making that mistake every time from now on....so good i cant stop eating them
Kids loved them despite being initially dubious of the amount of vegetables in them. I had to cook them for a longer time and at a higher temperature.
Yummy! Went down well in my house. Took 45 mins to cook though.
