Ingredients

Filling

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 onion, Chopped in half
  • 1 carrot, Roughly chopped
  • 1 zucchini, Roughly chopped
  • 1 heaped tablespoon Bbq sauce
  • 1 heaped tablespoon tomato sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 50 grams breadcrumbs
  • 500 grams Sausage Mince

Pastry

  • 3 sheets Puff pastry, (Or make using edc)
  • 1 dash Milk

Recipe's preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees

    Place garlic, onion and carrot in bowl 4 seconds at speed 7

    add zucchini 3 seconds at speed 5

    add tomato sauce, BBQ sauce, egg, bread crumbs and sausage meat mix 10-15 seconds reverse speed 4 until combined. 

    Place sausage mix down the centre of pastry (1 sheet cut in half to make a total of 6)

    roll the pastry around the filling and cut each piece into 4 (or 2 if you prefer larger sausage rolls)

    paint pastry with milk and cook for 20 mins until pastry is golden. 

     

Tip

Also tastes great with Chicken Mince/beef Mince or a 50/50 combo of chicken and beef (make your own mince it so easy!)

    Have made these a few times - always a hit with the whole family. Add 1-2T mixed herbs, 1T worcheshire sauce with the BBQ and tomato. Need to add extra breadcrums as mixture quite wet and cook for an extra 10 or so minutes.
