Tip
Traditionally people use a Griddle Pan but i don't have one so just make do with what you have.
Flour quanty can vary on brand and potatoes so have a bit extra.
Don't skimp on the salt as they will be tastless.

TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Thanks from me too Aoife I made this in my TM31 for St Patrick's Day this year and (although it might not be traditional) I added cheese They were a big hit! My Irish mum used to make these with her eyes closed and now I can too...lol!
Beautiful, thanks for the recipe! Best recipe I have found. Even my little 3yo Aoife likes it, and she is not a fan of potatoes! I have even used your method and proportions of flour and potatoes without steaming, just with left over mash from the mashed potato recipe from the Everyday Cookbook, and that turns out very nice too.
Aoife, thank you so much for your Thermomix conversions of authentic Irish recipes. Happy St Patrick's Day!
