Ingredients
Dough
- 200 grams cooked mashed potato
- 110 grams Milk
- 65 grams unsalted butter
- 200 grams bakers flour
- 200 grams whole meal flour
- 1.5 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon Gluten flour
- 2 teaspoons bread improver
- 45 grams honey
- 2 1/4 teaspoons dried yeast
- poppy seeds, for sprinkling (optional)

1. Add all ingredients to the "Closed lid" in the order listed.
2. Blend briefly, sp 7 / 15 seconds. Depending on how dry/moist your mashed potato is you may need to add a little water / flour to adjust. it should be a slightly sticky dough.
3. Knead "Dough mode" 5 minutes.
4. Tip onto a silicone mat, cover and leave to rest for 30 minutes.
5. Punch down aqnd rool out to fit a medium sized loaf pan.
6. Slash the top if desired, srinkle lightly with water and poppy seeds.
7. Leave to rise, covered in a warm place for up to an hour, until doubled in size.
8. Bake in a preheated oven 180C for 25-30 minutes or until done when tested.
9. Place on a wire rack to cool.
Method
Tip
A great way to use up a small amount of mashed potato.
If you want to make this and don't have any leftovers, cook 110 g peeled potatoes in 225 water and mash together with the water.
You will need to jdge the dough to see if it nedds more flour and water etc as so much depends on the way you have prepared the potato.
