Chilli Con Carne
Tip
I premill all my own dry spices in the Thermomix this gives all your food AMAZING flavours.
When using mince meat from the shop, be careful using the low fat mince some of these are minced up really fine & constant stiring can give it a weird texture. you can always put the mince into the basket so it still cooks in the sauce but it is away from the blades.
Serve with rice & natural yoghurt.
For a Chilli Con Carne with less liquid use only 400g tomatoes - it's great to go with tacos or corn chips or in buritos with salad & my Thermie Green Avocado Dip.

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

emtea88:I never cook mince in my thermy for this reason. With all mince recipes I do the sauce and then add it to the mince in a frypan.
Can't believe I've never made chilli con carne before. Love this receive, so versatile, could serve in so many ways! As nachos, with baked potato, with rice.Definitely a new favourite.

Amazing recipe, I mix the mince as soon as I add it to the thermie before cooking. We also use black beans instead of kidney beans. Turns out smazing.
