I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

    *read tips first :)
  1. Chop Onion & Garlic for 3 seconds, speed 6.

  2. Scrape down sides of bowl & add Olive Oil & Bacon and saute for 4 mins, 100', Reverse Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"

  3. Add Butterfly Whisk then add Beef and cook 3 mins, 100', Reverse Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"

  4. Add Tomatoes, Tomato Paste, Stock Paste, Water, Carrots, Mushrooms & Bay leaf and cook 60 mins, 100', reverse Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"

  5. Put into Thermoserver and let sit for as long as possible before serving.

Tip

Different quality and cuts of beef will alter cooking time. You may need to extend cooking time..

You could add fresh parsley and/or basil for added flavour as well as your favourite vegetables.

As with most slow cooked dishes, this will taste better the following day. I like to leave it sit for a while in Thermoserver before serving or have the next day.

Enjoy tmrc_emoticons.)

    Recipe is created for
    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Lovely and easy. Made this one day in advance, leaving in thermo server overnight. Used beef gravy. Meat was lovely and soft. Thank you.

Oh golly no its not speed 5!!!  It's .5 (as in half).  I will change the recipe to the Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" symbol to avoid any future confusion.

I hope you can resurrect it tomorrow tmrc_emoticons.)

I had a lot of trouble adding the butterfly after ingredients already in the bowl, so transfered to my second bowl. I could not reach speed 5 without Thermy bouncing all over bench, so i cooked  on speed 3, until Thermy overheated after 30mins!

I will try to cook for further 30 mins tomorrow... For now it's left overs for dinner...
