Ingredients

Bolognaise Sauce

  • 1 onion, Halved
  • 2 cloves garlic, Peeled
  • 1 heaped teaspoon fresh oregano leaves
  • Small bunch fresh basil leaves
  • 30 g olive oil
  • 800 g Minced beef
  • 200 grams sliced mushrooms
  • 700 g tomato passata
  • 2 heaped tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon paprika ground
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg ground
  • 400 gram canned choppecd tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon beef stock paste
  • 1 --- dried bay leaf

Recipe's preparation

    Bolognaise Sauce
  1. Place onion, garlic, oregano and basil into TM bowl and chop for 4 seconds on speed 7. 

    Add oil, saute 3 minutes, 100 degrees, speed 1

    Add, minced beef, stock paste and mushrooms and cook for 10 minutes at Varoma temperature on Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" , placing basket instead of MC onto TM bowl lid. 

    Add remaining ingredients and cook for 20 minutes at 100 degrees on Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" , placing basket instead of MC onto TM bowl lid.

    Remove Bay Leaf

    Serve with cooked pasta.

Tip

Instead of tomato passata, you can use tomato pasta sauce, which is in The Basic Cookbook page 240. I usually have some made in advance and stored in freezer.

Of course if you don't have any of that you can use any jar pasta sauce you have on hand.
