Ingredients

Red Lentil Dhal

  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 --- onion
  • 1 --- long green chilli
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cumin seeds
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons black mustard seeds
  • 1 1/12 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1/ 1/2 teaspoons Ground Coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground tumeric
  • 3 leaves curry or bay leaves
  • 1 --- tomato chopped
  • 200 grams red lentils, rinsed
  • 1 can 400ml coconut milk

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Chop onion & chilli by dopping onto the running blade at speed 4.


    2.Add oil, saute 3 mins/Varoma/Sp1


    3.Stir in seeds & spices & saute for a further 1 min/Varoma/Sp 1


    4.Stir in remaining ingredients and 250ml water and cook 25 mins/100/Sp 1 - 2
