delish, quick, tasty.....yes its runny. i cooked for 5 mins longer and then tipped over fresh veg and quick cooked on stove. YUM
Very tasty I made it according to recipe. It was runnier than I expected so will take heed of the comments and reduce water next time. Thank you for the recipe.
Delicious and easy! I have cooked this multiple times since I stumbled on this a couple of weeks ago. I substituted madras spice mix because I don't have garam masala and used half a tin of tomatoes instead of a tomato. My tip is to squeeze some lemon juice in the end and mix through. It really enhances the flavour.
Thanks for converting I will be making this tomorrow
I made this last night for hubby, forgot to pick fresh chilli but used chilli flakes and only had half a tomato so added a teaspoon of tomato paste and used a tin of lentils 430g - I cooked it for a bit longer and we loved it 🙌🏼
Quick and easy recipe. I added a bit of oil to the spices to help it take the rawness away while cooking. I also added an extra tomato and spinach for that extra flavour. Overall, Very happy with the outcome. Delicious recipe to have with either chapatis or rice.
Quick, easy, tasty 🌟🌟🌟🌟
i loved this & immediately saved to faves. Really flavoursome & perfect for last min supper
i made coconut rice first then transferred rice to thermosaver while I made Dahl
i used 1 onion with garlic, no fresh chilli so I added 1/4 spoon on chilli powder, think as a person who doesn’t enjoy spice I could go up to half a tsp or leave as a quarter and my 3&5 yr old wouldn’t notice heat. I like others opted for 600 water and think consistency was perfect. I added 2 med tomatoes (190gm) & split red lentils (220g) I thought the ratio was quite good. I added Greek yoghurt on top to serve👍
This is a regular in our home, and we love it. It's quick, tasty and nutritious. I often add an extra tomato, and an onion, and when I'm not in the mood for fat free, coconut milk replaces the water for an even creamier version.
Ran it through a seive. Will use less liquid next time. Lovely.
This has great potential! I tried 600g water as suggested and also chucked in a couple of mushrooms that were hanging around. Did the speed 5 for 15 seconds at the end too.
I would add more lentils next time and maybe even slightly less water. Tomato in there is lovely and mushroom pieces are a nice addition too.
Thanks!
