Ingredients

Stir fry sauce

  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 10 g fresh ginger
  • 75 g soy sauce
  • 70 g oyster sauce, vegetarian if required
  • 25 g shaoxing wine, or dry sherry/Japanese Mirin
  • 15 g cornflour
  • 10 g sugar
  • 10 g sesame oil
  • 125 g water

Vegetables

  • 100 g cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 carrot, julienne
  • .5 red capsicum, julienne
  • 80 g broccoli, small florets

Noodles & Tofu

  • 440 g hokkien noodles
  • 250 g tofu, firm
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder

Recipe's preparation

    Stir fry sauce
  1. Add garlic and ginger to bowl.
    Chop 3 seconds, speed 8
    Scrape down bowl

  2. Add remainder of the stir fry sauce ingredients
    Blend 30 seconds, speed 9
    Pour into another container/bowl and clean the Thermomix bowl (or alternatively use 2nd bowl)

  3. Vegetables & Noodles
  4. Add 1000g water to bowl

  5. Place capsicum & broccoli into varoma dish
    Place carrot & cabbage onto varoma tray
    Put into place on the bowl with varoma lid in place

  6. Steam for 12mins, varoma temp, speed 2

  7. Place varoma to the side and add noodles to bowl with hot water for 2 minutes.

  8. Place steaming basket into the bowl and use to drain the water from the noodles

  9. Place cubed tofu with garlic powder into oiled fry pan and cook for a few minutes until golden

  10. Add noodles, vegetables and sauce to fry pan and heat for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Serve immediately.

Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
