Made this tonight for dinner. It was so delicious. Often gnocchi can be chewy but this was as light as a feather. It was filling, easy to make and a huge hit. I added carrots in the sauce and chopped them up finely with the onion and garlic. This will go onto my dinner party menus.

Love this recipe, the gnocchi is amazing, but I also agree with other comments would be good to do something with the basic tomato sauce to add a little more flavour or sweetness.

ok this might be a silly question - but how do you cook the Gnocchi? Thanks

One word - delicious! Smile Great quick recipe. I made it for a lunch with friends. Prepped the gnocchi earlier in the day. I’ve never eaten ricotta gnocchi but now I think I have a favourite dish! I used passata instead of tin tomatoes and added basil and roasted capsicum as another user suggested.

This is quite possibly my favourite Thermomix recipe. Super yummy and so easy! I love to blitz extra veggies into the sauce, like zucchini, carrot and mushrooms to make it even healtheir.

I've also frozen this in single portions for my "can't be bothered" nights and it heats up in the microwave just as fresh and delicious as the day I made it.

    Very tastey and surprisingly filling.
I’ll add a few veges next time but it’s fantastic as is. Thank you for sharing!

Still love using this recipe. Note to me for next time:
Add red wine, cumin and chilli flakes towards end of garlic / onion sautè.
Add salt and cracked pepper with tomatoes, along with 1.5T tomato paste and 1/2t dried oregano plus fresh basil. Perhaps try spinach / capsicum / mushroom next time also.
Grated parmesan, cracked pepper and shredded basil on top when serving.
Makes meal for 2 with enough sauce left for another pasta meal for 2.

FANTASTIC recipe - I've made this recipe numerous times, and is always and huge hit with my guests.
And again, served it at dinner last night, and got massive raves!
I always make my own ricotta, and often freeze (uncooked) gnocchi. I cook straight from frozen, and it's a fantastic emergency meal. (I also freeze up the sauce in individual portions as well).

I think it's a great recipe for anyone just starting out with their Thermomix as well, because it always produces such great results.

Thanks for such a great recipe, which I always pass on.

This was really nice. I added some chopped mushrooms and broccoli to the sauce and would add some cracked pepper next time for some additional seasoning. I baked some chicken fillets in the oven and had the ricotta gnocci and tomato sauce as a side. Will def make again tmrc_emoticons.)

Made this tonight in my TM5 and made a double batch. Great recipe thanks 🙌🏻.
I used a bottle of Tomato Passatta as I had no tin tomatoes and it worked a treat . I added some cream at the end to make it creamy and my young adult children enjoyed it all. I used fresh basil , chives and cracked pepper .
