Rice

  • 400 grams basmati rice rinsed
  • 3 --- pandan leaves, tied in a knot (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon tumeric powder
  • 6 peppercorns whole
  • 1 clove garlic, optional
  • 30 grams coconut cream, optional

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Boil 900g water

    2. Place rice and all the ingredients in the basket and insert into the TM bowl

    3. Pour in 900g boiling water

    4. Set time 7 minutes, Varoma, sp2

    5. Remove and transfer rice to Thermoserver and leave to sit for 20 minutes.

    6. Fluff up and serve.

Tip

This can be done with any rice.I discovered this when I wanted to have both rice and soup with my paprika drumsticks for dinner. A great way to add another layer and use your Thermoserver tmrc_emoticons.)

    LOVED this recipe! We had it last night with dinner. I also steamed some green beans in the varoma while the rice was cooking. It was the perfect amount of time. Definitely will make this again! I might do an extra minute on Varoma, just to make sure the rice is soft & fluffy in the Thermoserver.

    I didn't have pandan leaves tmrc_emoticons.( so I added lemongrass instead. I can't wait to try this with Pandan though!
