  • 600 g water
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 1.5 tablespoon Vegetable stock paste
  • 1 heaped tablespoon miso paste
  • 1.5 tablespoon tamari
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 turnip
  • 1/4 cabbage
  • 2 small red chillies de seeded
  • bunch parsley
  • 2 chicken thighs (deboned and roughly chopped in quarters)
  • spring onion
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • juice from one lemon
  • 30 g mirin
  • 1.5 teaspoon ground tumeric
  • 1 cm cube ginger fresh, peeled
  • 20 g coconut oil

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1. Place parsley, garlic, ginger, lemon zest, spring onions and chilli's into the bowl and chop for 10 secs on spd 9 .

    2. Scrape sides of bowl and add the coconut oil. Saute for  2 mins, 100C and speed 1.

    3.Add carrots, turnips, cabbage for 5 secs on spd 5. Scrape sides and repeat if needed to reach desired size.

    4. Empty contents of bowl and place thighs into empty bowl. Chop on spd 5 for 3 secs. Check and repeat if prefer smaller. 

    5. Re-add the vegetable mix back to bowl and mix on reverse, spd 4 to reblend with chicken. 

    6. Add vegetable stock, tamari, lemon juice, mirin, tumeric, miso paste, salt, pepper and water. Cook for 25 mins, 110C, spd 1.5. 

    7. Once done, check vegetables are cooked through or cook for a further 3-4 mins. Mix on reverse, speed 4 to blend and serve. 

     

Tip

*If you prefer less heat, then only add 1 chilli.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.
