1. Add butter, onion, bacon, potatoes and carrot to TM bowl and chop for 5 seconds on speed 4.5. Check that all is cut to a similar size, if not, chop for a few more seconds. Scrape down sides of bowl. Cook for 6 minutes/120 degrees/"Counter-clockwise operation" / speed 1.5
2. Add creamed corn, water and frozen peas & corn. Cook for 12 minutes/100 degrees/"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 1.5
3. Add cream of chicken soup, milk and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 12 minutes/100 degrees/"Counter-clockwise operation" /speed 1.5
Tip
If you would prefer, you can dice the potatoes and slice the carrots and just add them in after you chop the bacon and onion but I like to do things fast in the Thermomix!
Just be careful not to go over the maximum marker, I was right on when I tested this recipe so if you have bigger carrots and onion, you may go over, just leave out some of the milk so you don't over fill.

Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

I only cooked this as I had a tin of chicken soup that I wanted to get rid of, so I came in with low expectations and hubby loved it and has requested it again. Added in 200g cream for some of the milk and it was delicious. Might add a little soup pasta too next time to bulk it up for his lunches.
This is a yummy chowder. Mine didn't become as creamy as I like - I'm not sure if that's because I didn't add bacon. I had to add the milk in batches so it didn't exceed the top marker. Out of some of the milk I made a rice flour paste. Next time I would blitz the potatoes, carrots and onions more as this could increase the creaminess too.
