  • 160 grams Self Raising Flour
  • 3 slices bacon rashers
  • 1 small onion

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1). Preheat oven to 200 degrees

    2). Place 100 grams cheese in the bowl. Grate for 5 seconds, speed 7. Add the remainder of the cheese, grate for 5 seconds, speed 7.

    3). Add onion. Chop for 5 seconds, speed 7.

    4). Add bacon. Chop for 5 seconds, speed 5.

    5). Add milk, egg and the flour. Mix for 5 seconds, speed 7.

    6). Line a baking tray with baking paper. Drop large teaspoons of the mixture onto the tray. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until slightly golden on top.

Tip

You can add anything to this recipe. I often add spinach and 'hide' them in these balls for my fussy toddlers.

    So Quick!!

    Love these. So quick and cheap to make. New lunch box go to when there are bits and pieces that need using up. Thrifty and quick - my kinda recipe

    Very tasty - mine went a little flat too like pancakes, but maybe I need to mould them better and that is why?  I also did some in little muffin tins, which shaped them nicely.  Kids loved them tmrc_emoticons.)

    Not sure if just me but too floury like scones gone wrong. They flattened out in oven like biscuits a little and were no longer balls.  Might experiment and add more egg less flour next time

    These are great my kids love them they also work well in little muffin tins tmrc_emoticons.)
