- oats, 1 cup
- water, 3 cups, cold from the fridge
- 2 dates
- pinch salt
- 1 tsp vanilla

- Add all ingredients to the thermomix and blend for 15-20 seconds speed 10.
Drain mixture through a sieve or nut milk bag. You can repeat this step depending on how thin you want it.
Can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days. Mixture will separate in the fridge, so give it a good shake before using it.

Tip
To avoid a slimy mixture it is best to use cold (or ice cold) water and not to over blend the mixture.
No need to discard the pulp, it can used in baking, pancakes or porridge.
You can play around with what you add in depending if you want sweet or unsweetned.
Rule of thumb is 1 part oats to 3 parts water.
It is recommended not to use oat milk on warm dishes as this is what causes it go slimy and thicken.
