Ingredients

Asian Style Pork Dumpings

  • 2 packages gow gee wrappers, in the fridge at woolies near pasta.
  • 500 g pork mince
  • 2-3 sprig spring onions
  • 4-6 leaf fresh coriander, to taste - you can leave out if you don't like it.
  • 1 drops Chilli Paste, mild
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • 1 cubes fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoon tamari, Tamari is found in asian grocer or asian isle at woolies.

Dipping Sauce

  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • 90 g tamari, Tamari sauce can be found in asian grocer or asian isle at woolies.
  • 1-2 teaspoons raw sugar
  • 1-2 drops Chilli Paste, mild - if desired.

Recipe's preparation

    Asian Style steamed pork dumpings.
  1. Dipping sauce first.
    1. Place all ingredients for dipping sauce into mixing bowl and mix for 5 seconds, speed 5. Set aside. no need to clean bowl - it adds more flavour to the meat mixture.

    Dumplings.
    1. place spring onions, ginger, garlic, chilli and coriander into the mixing bowl and chop for 4 seconds on speed 6. Repeat if needed. Scrape down sides of bowl.
    2. Add oyster sauce, tamari and pork mince and combine for 5 seconds on speed 5.
    3. Lightly oil your varoma ready to place dumplings into for steaming.
    4. Lay dumpling wrappers out singly on a clean flat surface and add 1tsp of the pork dumping mixutre to the wrapper. wet one side of the wrapper with a wet finger and fold to seal. Place in varoma and repeat until all done.
    5. Add 1200g of water to the mixing bowl and place varoma with dumplings in place. If you need more space to steam you can use the simmering basket also.
    6. Cook for 20mins, Varoma temp, Speed 4.
    7. Enjoy

Tip

- If you aren't sure how to fold dumpings there are some great videos on youtube/tiktok.
- Have a small bowl of water to dip your finger in to wet the side of the wrapper as you are folding them.
- Spray cooking oil between dumplings if they are against each other so they dont stick as bad.
