Tip
*I originally converted this recipe from //www.food.com/recipe/rogan-josh-211487
*I have refined the recipe over time and changed it a little to make it thicker and more flavoursome.
*This is a very mild version as my girls are complete sooks when it comes to spices. If you would like to spice it up add some chilli, extra cayenne pepper, capsicum or what ever you would like to use in Step 3
* You could also add some diced potato instead of or as well as the pumpkin.
* You can replace lamb with chicken
* You can replace lamb with beef and cook an extra 30 minutes and add an extra 50g Milk.
* Don't add too much extra as this meal fills the TM Bowl.

Loved it. Great meal. Just finished making it and will feed it to hubby tonight.
Thanks.
It wasn't to everybody's liking but I really enjoyed it
I didn't add the pumpkin or capsicum. But I did add a tin of whole peeled tomatos and 2 tbsp of tomato paste to the mix and it was so yummy. I cooked some rice when the lamb had finished not rinsing the bowl and it gave the rice a nice flavour.
I even think this is better then any I've gotten from any indian resturant!!
I cooked this for my first dish with my new toy, hubby doesn't like ginger but enjoyed this immensely. Will definitely cook this again
I didn't really enjoy this. Flavours were ok but I won't be making it again. Make sure you don't chop the capsicum or pumpkin too small as it will just turn to mush.
This has become one of my staple recipes! I love this meal. It's fantastic as I'm only feeding myself, so I eat my serve the night I make it, then freeze the rest in single serve sizes - it revives just fine from the freezer.
Did this last night and threw in 4 fiery chillis.
It was very hot, great taste though.
Any suggestions on how to thicken it?
Hey Mummylovesbaking,
Sorry I didn't realise I had made the mistake. I have actually refined the recipe alot since I first added it, it is alot easier and yummier now. I personally am OK with the spice levels, but most people I know prefer it a lot hotter. Sorry it was so hot!!! Adding extra yoghurt helps to take some of the heat out if you are ever caught again.I find it much nicer with the pumpkin as it adds another level to it. helps to make it a heartier meal too.
Lamb Rogan Josh
I tried this recipe tonight and didn't realise until I got to step 3 that it was the same as step 2. Would be great if you could update this. Also, I doubled the cayenne pepper after reading your comment on its mildness. Major mistake on my part!!
