Red Lentil Dhal
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 --- onion
- 1 --- long green chilli
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cumin seeds
- 1 1/2 teaspoons black mustard seeds
- 1 1/12 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1/ 1/2 teaspoons Ground Coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground tumeric
- 3 leaves curry or bay leaves
- 1 --- tomato chopped
- 200 grams red lentils, rinsed
- 1 can 400ml coconut milk

1. Chop onion & chilli by dopping onto the running blade at speed 4.
2.Add oil, saute 3 mins/Varoma/Sp1
3.Stir in seeds & spices & saute for a further 1 min/Varoma/Sp 1
4.Stir in remaining ingredients and 250ml water and cook 25 mins/100/Sp 1 - 2

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I love it for company too. I find I can do all the prep before people arrive and then the rest cooks itself while I get to chat to the guests rather than spending my entire time in the kitchen. Good idea re cauliflower rice, I'll give it try. Cheers.
Sooooo good!!! I make this almost once a week now. Great for company because everyone loves it, and of course it's easy! Healthy too.... Especially when you eat it w cauliflower rice
