I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
- Place simmering basket onto mixing bowl and weigh rice. Rinse rice until water runs clear.
- Add into mixing bowl, salsa, butter, ground cumin, chilli powder, salt, stock paste, water and rinsed rice.
- Give all the ingredients a really good stir.
- Lid on simmering basket on top of lid.
Select 'RICE COOKING' mode and turn on. - "Sous-vide" IMPORTANT....Once your mexican rice is completed, immediately place the rice into a thermoserver, add can of mixed beans (optional) and fluffy up with a fork.
(**I stress the immediately because if your rice sits in the TM bowl it will continue to cook and might make your rice gloggy.)
Enjoy.
Tip

Recipe is created for
TM 6
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
