I'm cooking this todayRecipe's preparation
- Place simmering basket onto mixing bowl and weigh rice. Rinse rice until water runs clear.
- Add to the mixing bowl water, salt, lemon zest, dried oregano, dried basil, stock, only 1/2 lemon juice and rinsed rice.
- Give all the ingredients a really good stir.
- Lid on, with simmering basket on top of lid.
Select 'RICE COOKING' mode and turn on. - IMPORTANT....Once your rice is completed, immediately place the rice into a thermoserver, add other half lemon juice and fluffy up with a fork.
(**I stress the immediately because if your rice sits in the TM bowl it will continue to cook and might make your rice gloggy.)
Enjoy.
Tip
What to serve lemon and herb rice with:
- Chicken teriyaki
- roast chicken
- steam fish
- or just as is for lunch!

Recipe is created for
TM 6
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

This recipe is fantastic. The recipe works. I tried using rice cooker mode and I've had no success, non of my rice has worked, so I've decided to follow a recipe. We were happy with the results. Very Tasty, very happy family.
