  • 150 grams Spelt grain
  • 100 grams rolled oats
  • 125 grams water
  • Good Quality Salt Flakes
  • chia seeds
  • poppy seeds
  • sesame seeds

Recipe's preparation

    Dough
  1. 1. Mill spelt grain 20 seconds/speed 9.

    2. Add rolled oats and mill for a further 30 seconds/speed 9.

    3. Add water to bowl, and mix 6 seconds/speed 6.

    4.Dough mode"Dough mode" /2 minutes. Turn dough out onto well floured work surface. 

    5. Roll dough out to approx 3-4mm thick, then fold it over itself until you have a neat square that has several layers of dough. Then roll out the dough into a large square approx 2mm thick.

    6. Once the dough is rolled out to 2mm, sprinkle salt flakes and seeds over the dough and very gently roll them into the dough with the rolling pin, or press them into the dough gently with the palm of your hand.

    7. Pop them on a baking tray, and cook for about 6 minutes at 180° or until browned to your liking. 

Tip

Crackers must be stored in an air tight container.

    Being gluten free, I changed the flour to Amarath flour so hard to rate recipe as is. Rolled the crackers thin but they still needed to be cooked for 20+ minutes. Once crisp they were tasty and the salt and seeds added a nice flavour. Will make them again. Thanks
