Ingredients

Sausage Mince

  • 500 gram Sausage Mince
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce/ketchup
  • 2 tablespoon Worchestershire sauce
  • 70 gram bread
  • 2 teaspoon French Mustard
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 2 Apples
  • 3 sheets frozen puff pastry
  • fresh milk for brushing

Recipe's preparation

    Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan-forced. Line 2 large baking trays with baking paper.
  1. Place Bread (Cut into 3cm pieces)  in mixing bowl Closed lid"Closed lid"

  2. Add apples, peeld and cored, onion and carrot (peeled) into mixing bowlClosed lid"Closed lid"

  3. Add remainder of ingredients Closed lid"Closed lid"

    or until combined

  4. Cut each pastry sheet in half. (OR roll out pastry to a rectangle so that it can be cut into 3 strips if you want smaller ones. Shape 1/2 cup mince mixture into a sausage shape. Place along 1 long side of 1 pastry half. Roll up pastry to enclose filling. Run milk along long side to help seal. Cut into pieces. Place, seam side down, on 1 prepared tray, 5mm apart. Repeat with remaining mince mixture and pastry. Brush mik over the top and pierce with a fork to let out steam.

  5. If larger size = Bake for 35 minutes or until golden and cooked through. If smaller size = Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Cook a little less if you are going to reheat.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
    For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
