- 1 large onion
- 350 grams sweet potato
- 350 grams butternut pumpkin
- 1000 grams water
- 1 Bread roll or 3 slices of bread
- 3 eggs
- 0.5 teaspoon Nutmeg
- 0.5 teaspoon Thyme
- 1 package Puff Pastry or TM Rough Puff
- Egg or milk to brush

- Pre-heat oven to 180deg.
- Peel and quarter onion.
- Chop on speed 7 for 5 seconds.
- Set onion aside and rinse bowl.
- Peel and cube sweet potato and pumpkin.
- Measure in water.
- Spread pumpkin and sweet potato out on Varoma set to Varoma temperature for 15 minutes, .
- Add steamed pumpkin and sweet potato tp the bowl and mash on speed 7 for 10 seconds.
- Add the chopped onion, eggs, nutmeg and thyme. Mix on speed 4 until combined.
- Crumble in the bread and again mix on speed 4 until combined.
- Slice the puff pastry into sheets about 7 inches long and 5 inches wide. Place these on a greased baking tray.
- Add a hand-moulded ‘sausage’ of pumpkin/potato mix and pinch the sides of the pastry together into a roll. If you want a nice golden brown finish, brush the top with oil or milk.
- Place the tray in the middle shelf in the oven and cook til the pastry is flaky. This will be about 25-30 minutes.
