Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons peanut oil
  • 600 grams lean beef mince
  • 250 gram can mild satay sauce
  • 1 carrot, medium, peeled
  • 4 green onions
  • 1 yellow capsicum chopped
  • 8 iceberg lettuce leaves, trimmed
  • white rice, steamed to serve

Recipe's preparation

  1. Chop carrot for 6 seconds on speed 6.  Remove from TM Bowl.

  2. Chop green onions for 6 seconds on speed 6.  Remove from TM Bowl.

  3. Put oil and mince in TM bowl.  Cook for 10 minutes at varoma temperature on Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" , Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" placing basket instead of MC on TM bowl lid.

  4. Add carrot, onion, capsicum and sauce and cook for 15 minutes at 100C on Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" , Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"  placing basket instead of MC on TM bowl lid.

  5. Spoon into lettuce leaves and serve with rice.

    Yum!! Big hit in this house thank you tmrc_emoticons.-) 

    We added some lemongrass and kefir lime leaves and cooked this off with the oil prior to adding the mince in. Yummy!!!

    Glad you liked them.  The mince mixture also freezes well for an even quicker after work meal.
