- 1 fennel bulb, leaves only
- 1 brown onion, peeled and halved
- 1 clove garlic, peeled
- 1 carrot, peeled and roughly chopped
- 1 can tomatoes in juice
- 1 tbsp vege stock

Chop fennel leaves, carrot, onion and garlic speed 7 for 5 seconds, scrape down and add tomatoes, add 1/2 can of water and vege stock. Cook varoma temperature for 35 minutes (steam meatballs and braised fennel for 30 minutes once at varoma temperature), speed 2. Or at 100 degrees for 30 minutes at speed 2. Once cooked, puree for 20 to 30 seconds by slowly dialling up to speed 9. Then serve with meatballs and braised fennel.
