Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

So I kind of made this for Mstr14 and Mstr12 tonight, with some adaptations to suit my pantry.
I used leftover roast beef (about 250g cos that was all that was left) cut into strips, as it needed eating before it went off. When it had been cooking for ten minutes, I added diced potatoes and diced pumpkin. Five minutes later I added 3/4 can coconut cream instead of cream, and cooked for 25 minutes. Then I threw in about 6 button mushrooms quartered and cooked through for another 5 minutes or so.
As it was all cooked together I didn’t need to dirty another pan making rice or mash potato, so I served it with store bought naan bread.
Theres heaps of the sauce left, so tomorrow the teens will get it again for dinner, then I will
freeze the leftover juices and add diced chicken to it next time.
I have two full and content boys!
So popular with people who don't like curries!
Loved it - great flavours. I added carrot and large cubed potatoes for the final cooking segment - in hindsight, may add the potaties if cubed at 2cm for final 20 minutes.
If you cube the beef too small - it will start to break down - so keep it a good 3 - 4 cm cube.
Will be added to the ongoing repertoire here.
Thanks
This was delicious and really easy to make. I didn't have all the ingredients so made the following changes- left out the ginger, used only 1 onion, used chilli powder instead of paste, veg stock instead of meat stock. The meat was tender and the curry had just the right amount of flavour for the whole family to enjoy. I boiled potatoes and threw them in the curry before serving. Thanks for sharing.
AMAZEBALLS !!!!!
Thank you for this recipe. I'll be cooking it again - I used gravy steak and did the 40mins x 2 cook time, the meat was so tender !!!!
Thanks for sharing, my kids love the curry and this is my 2nd time making it.
jessicatherese: Try and mixed with coconut milk
This is a delicious family friendly curry! My kids loved this!
This is delish! Have cooked it a few times now....always a hit. I usually make it ahead of time, and serve it with basmati rice, and naan bread if I have it on hand! Thanks
Wow!! Thank you for this recipe. I made the curry sauce in the thermi and then put it in the slow cooker with the beef for 5 hours. Absolutely awesome and plenty of leftovers!
Amazing! My whole family loved this, even my fussy 3 year old I'll definitely be making this regularly.
I used half the sugar and instead of cooking the meat in the TM5 I browned it first in a pan then let it cook & soften in the slow cooker; I poured the ingredients from the TMX over the meat and left it for 5 hours, was awesome!!
