Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. * Preheat oven to 180 degrees

    1. Place diced chicken on Varoma tray and set aside

    2. Place pasta in Thermoserver and top with boiling water. Close lid and leave until the end of step 4

    3. Add butter and garlic to TM and chop - 2 sec/speed 7 and saute briefly - 2 min/80 deg/speed 2

    4. Add cream, milk, parmesan cheese and 100g of tasty/colby cheese and cook - 10 min/110 deg/speed 2. Place Varoma tray (with chicken) onto lid

(**A minute before sauce is finished in step 4, strain pasta and return to empty Thermoserver, replacing lid. Set aside.**)

    5. Add stock paste, water, sage, salt & pepper to TM and cook - 10 min/Varoma/speed 3

    6. In an oven proof dish add pasta, chicken and sauce and stir to combine

    7. Sprinkle with crushed corn flakes and tasty cheese and bake for 15-20 min

Tip

You can add alot more chicken if you want to cook for 6-8 people, just make sure it is close to completely cooked before placing in oven (depends on the size you cut you pieces).

I just crush the cornflakes in my hand as I'm sprinkling but you can use bread crumbs instead

Substitute for veggie stock paste if you don't have chicken

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Thanks for the recipe! I used it as a guide tonight for an all in one pasta. I did the butter and garlic first as per the recipe and then put in all the sauce ingredients, some chicken thighs & the remaining half pack of penne I had into the bowl and cooked it all together. Not quite what you intended with the recipe but its a handy option if anyone needs a delicious chicken pasta with hardly any effort or dishes!

Make half. Use bread crumbs instead of cornflakes

    Really tasty
I used left over roast chicken and added some steamed veggies (put them in the varoma for the second 10min cook) and it turned out really well. Was demolished by the 4 year olds!

We used left over BBQ chicken and bread crumbs for the topping. The sauce did start to boil over so I kept the MC off for the rest of cooking time. It was a huge hit in our family. Better than I expected. Thank you!

The flavour was quite nice but the chicken didnt cook so had to cook for an extra 5 mins, then when I poured the sauce out, the cheese was a big burnt mess at the bottom of the bowl. I managed to scrape most our leaving behind the burnt bits. The sauce didnt thicken either (Im guessing because the cheese was all at the bottom not mixed through.)
    Sad Thumbs down sorry

Nice flavour but not sure what went wrong, the chicken didn't cook in the steamer (it was cut small and I only used the amount suggested) and the sauce was very runny.

Love this!  Made with leftover bbq chicken, light evaporated milk instead of cream and veggie stock paste, but still turned out awesome!
