Recipe's preparation

    Make the Salad
  1. Add all ingredients (dressing & salad) to TM bowl -ACCEPT slivered almonds.  Put heaviest ingredient (i.e. carrots & dates) at bottom to assist with even chopping

  2. Chop 4 seconds speed 5

  3. Scrape down side of bowl

  4. Chop 3 seconds speed 5 (or until desired consistency is achieved)

  5. Add slivered almonds and mix Reverse, Speed 2 for 5-10 seconds until almonds are mixed evenly through salad

  6. Serve & enjoy!

Tip

This can easily be done in any TM model.

I got the recipe for this of my sister in law and have just converted it to the Thermomix.  I'm not sure where the original recipe came from but it always gets rave reviews and is so simple to make!

    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Best carrot salad!  A great variation for those that don't like sultanas. And the cumin makes it awesome tmrc_emoticons.)

This was lovely although we found the cumin just a little strong so next time I'm going to try it with 1/2 tsp and see how that goes/

Thank you for sharing this recipe.

This is divine! I definitely recommend toasting the almonds beforehand as it greatly enhances the flavour. I worked out this recipe makes 5 servings and calculates as 244 calories per serve. Plus it's filling so it makes for a fantastic lunch. Thank you for sharing!
