Ingredients

Cheese & Basil Knots

  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 500 g bakers flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 80 g cheese, cubed
  • 1 handful fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tsp dried yeast
  • 300 g lukewarm water
  • 20 g olive oil

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place first 5 ingredients in TM bowl & chop Closed lid / Turbo / 3-4 times


    Add yeast then water & oil.


    Combine 5 sec / sp7.  Knead 2 min / Closed liddough mode


    Remove dough onto Thermomat, shape into a ball & allow to rise until doubled (20-30mins).  


    Shape into 12 small dinner rolls (round or knot as desired).


    Place into cold oven & set temperature to 180 degrees.  Bake 20-25mins until golden on top & hollow-sounding when tapped on the bottom. Server warm as a side dish with risotto, lasagne, bolognaise etc.

    lve been waiting 3 hrs so far for bread to double in size and lm still going to wait another half hr but it does seem very light and fluffy stay tuned for outcome after cooking

    We have made these without the basil and cheese (for shredded beef and gravy rolls) and with the basil and cheese just to eat, either way they were really yummy and so easy.
