Ingredients

  • 800 g canned black beans, drained
  • 1 onion, peeled & halved
  • 1/2 Red or Green Capsicum, quartered & deseeded
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 200 g walnuts
  • 50 g burghul
  • 3 tsp cumin, ground
  • 1 tbsp Onion Flakes
  • 1/4 bunch coriander leaves, chopped coarsley
  • 1/2 tsp coriander, ground
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 50 g parmesan
  • 1 egg

Recipe's preparation

  1. Grate Parmesan in TM bowl for 10 seconds speed 9. Set aside

  2. Place walnuts in bowl and cover with water.  Leave to sit for 15 minutes

  3. Drain water off then grind walnuts for 6 seconds speed 9.  Set aside with cheese

  4. Place onion, garlic and capsicum in TM bowl and chop 3 seconds speed 7.  Add in oil and cook 3 minutes varoma speed 1

  5. Add in onion flakes, ground coriander and cumin, and cook 1 minute Varoma speed 1 with measuring cup removed

  6. Add in half the beans and the bulghur and mic 5 seconds speed 6

  7. Add all remaining ingredients including remaining beans reserved cheese and walnuts, and mix 20 seconds reverse speed 4

  8. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C and line 2 baking trays with paper

  9. Form bean mixture into 8 patties (depending on size wanted can make more or less).  Place on trays and bake 20 minutes, then flip gently and bake a further 20 minutes

  10. Will firm up more as cool slightly
