Ingredients
Mushroom Burger Patties
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 onion, cut into quarters
- 1 clove garlic
- 3 spring onions, roughly chopped
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 cup fresh mushrooms
- 500 grams cooked or canned beans, pinto, red, black beans or lentils
- 1 tsp parsley
- salt, fine, to taste
- pepper, black, to taste
- 1 centimetre fresh turmeric, peeled, or half teaspoon dried
- coriander leaves
- cardamom
- 100 grams breadcrumbs
- 1 egg

- Mash the beans in the TM bowl 30s/9. Set aside.
- Add onions, turmeric & garlic to TM bowl & chop 5s/speed 9. Sauté the onions, turmeric, cumin and garlic in olive oil in the TM 3 to 5 minutes/Varoma/speed 2 or until onions are soft.
Add the green onions, parsley, coriander leaves, cardamom, cumin and mushrooms and chop 5 s/speed 5. Cook for another 5 minutes, or until the mushrooms are cooked.
Add the beans, breadcrumbs, eggs, salt and pepper to the TM bowl. Stir 15s/speed 3 until well combined.
Shape the mixture into patties.
Heat about two tablespoons of olive oil in a fry pan and cook each patty until the veggie burgers are done, about 3 minutes on each side.
Serve with vegetables, salad, or as a burger with tasty cheddar cheese, fried onions, & a spicy hot tomato sauce.

Tip
These vege burgers are full of protein and fibre.
Other beans or legumes such as lentil could also add different flavours & appearance to these yummy vege burgers.
