Cooked this for the first time last night. It was quick, simple and full of flavour. I couldn't put the full amount of water in either but it still turned out well.

I did add hot paprika to the recipe which gave it a good warmth.

A tasty, quick, easy & cheap meal. We hand crushed organic corn chips into it when served to add texture.

Hi - it is 2x 400g tin - did you drain the liquid from the kidney beans? I will update the recipe to include that. It is definately a tight squeeze but mine has never overflowed.

I either got the quantities wrong, or my thermi jug is too small. Basically I ran out of room - maybe clarify if bean weight is gross or nett (ie 2 x 400gm cans)...... Smells amazing though, am thinking go adding a squeeze of lemon.

A tasty enough dish but the best thing about it is how quick it is.  After all the tin though I couldn't add the water recommended so I just added as much as I could and it was fine. Maybe a bit of fresh coriander would've given it a flavour boost
