Ingredients

Filling

  • 1 can Water Chestnuts - drained, (optional)
  • 2 cm fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 4 sprigs fresh coriander
  • 3 spring onions
  • 1 red chilli, (optional)
  • 1 carrot, Large
  • 1 zucchini, Approx 150 grams
  • 1 teaspoon Five Spice Powder
  • 4 tablespoons Dried Shallots, (optional)
  • 2 eggs
  • 800 grams Chicken Thigh - diced, (Frozen)
  • 100 grams Milled Rice of Choice, Milled 30 seconds/ speed 8
  • 1 tablespoon TM stock paste
  • 1 tablespoon Ketjap Manis Sauce

Pastry

  • 1 package Rolled Puff Pastry Sheets, (or TM Pastry of choice)

Recipe's preparation

    Filling
  1. 1.  Chop water chestnuts for 2 seconds on speed 4.  Set aside.  Don't clean bowl.


    2.  Place rice in bowl and mill for 30 seconds on speed 8.


    3.  Add all vegetables and herbs and chop for 10 seconds on speed 8.


    4.  Add the five spice powder, one egg and the shallots (if used) and blend for 10 seconds on speed 5.


    5.  With the motor running on speed 6 drop the frozen chicken cubes through the opening in the lid and mince until combined - around 45 seconds.


    5.  Add the rice, water chestnuts (if used), TM stock paste and Ketjap Manis sauce.  Mix for 10 seconds (or util combined) on speed 4. 


     

  2. Assembly
  3. 1.  Place pastry sheets on bench and cut each in half.


    2.  Beat other egg in a cup and brush one long edge (to" glue" it together).


    3.  Place enough filling onto each piece of patry and roll to form a long sausage roll, sealing the edge with the beaten egg.


    4.  Cut each roll into the required size and prick with a fork.  Six pieces per length gives a total of 60 mini sausage rolls.


    5.  Brush tops of completed sausage rolls with some of the remaining egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.


    6.  Place onto baking trays lined with baking paper and bake in 200 degree oven for approx 20 minutes or until golden brown,


    7.  Serve with favorite dipping sauce.  Enjoy! 


     


Tip

Any meats or vegetables may be used.

Recipe may be halved for less mini sausage rolls
