Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

My kids really love this dish and they don't realise it's tuna! I've made it several times now. I do find there's a lot of sauce, and often do another batch of pasta (320g) as per thermie boiled pasta recipe and make a second casserole dish to put aside.
I made half quantity & it did us twice & we love it! Added a few things on top, olives, tomato slices, parsley, fetta - not all at once, depends on what I've got available. I'd always made the version with a can of Cream of Celery soup & milk but much prefer making the sauce this way.
I like this recipe, made it a couple of times now. Kids don't realise it's tuna and I put a crispy finish on top with breadcrumbs & butter. Thanks.

I doubled the veggies with the intention of leaving out one of the cans of tuna, and the bowl completely maxed out at the 2.2L line on my TM5 when all the milk, etc was added. Cooked a whole bag of pasta (500g) and still only used half the bowl of tuna-veg-sauce. So I have enough sauce to freeze for another quick dinner another night! Happy with that. It looks tasty, in the oven right now and looking forward to trying.
Very, very nice.
