This is our "go to" chowder. I reduce the liquids by 75% and roughly mash a quarter of the potato and the chowder becomes much more creamy. Sometimes the potatoes need a little more cooking but the recipe does say to check them.
Delicious regular in our house, alway use a bag of frozen marinara mix and frozen mixed veg. Always on hand impressive meal.
Thank you for sharing this recipe! It was easy to make and warms your heart too!!!
Very tasty. I didn't add any water at all so it was a thicker consistency.
Love this recipe, have made several times.
Hi there! Thanks for this totally delicious recipe! I used a frozen marinara mix for mine. A little too much liquid so I will reduce it a bit next time. I also used waxy potatoes and they stayed intact which I liked but the DH did not lol. So I’ll use mashing ones next time as I think they’ll also thicken it up a bit as they mush up.
Live, Laugh. Love. Eat!
Yummy chowder will definitely make again. I pre- cooked potatoes in micro wave for 2 mins before adding to thermomix basket. I also used 500g milk and 250ml of pre-packaged chicken stock and reduced the thermomix chicken stock to 2 tablespoons (750g of liquid instead of 900g) I didn't add the hot water as there is more than enough liquid. Cooked seafood an extra 2 mins too.
too much liquid.... put in more fish but bowl ended up too full.... yummy tho
Very tasty. My potatoes weren't cooked, but I probably didn't cut them small enough and they were also a waxy variety. I added a dash of cream for richness. Loved it - will make again!
Perfect for this cold and rainy night
