- 100 grams unsalted butter, Chopped
- 190 grams Milk
- 50 grams sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 500 grams bakers flour
- 1 level tablespoon dried yeast
- 2 teaspoons bread improver
- 1 egg
- 5-6 frankfurters, ( I like the Aldi Bockwurst; in the jar.)
- 1 egg, lightly beaten, for glazing
- sesame seeds for sprinkling

- 1. Place milk and chopped butter into the "Closed lid" .
2. Blend 60C/ 3mins / sp 2.
3. Add remaining ingredients, except for the frankfurters, in the order listed.
4. Blend sp7/ 15 secs.
5. Scrape and then knead "Dough mode" , for 5 minutes.
7. Tip contents onto a greased Thermomat or into a greased covered bowl.
8. Leave to rest for 30 minutes.
9. Punch down and divide into 5-6 equal sized portions, according to the amount of sausages you have.
10. Roll each piece into a long tube shape, about twice the length of the sausage.
11. Wrap a tube around each sausage in a circular fashion, sealing each end, and place on a greased or paper lined tray, seam side down.
12. Leave to rise until doubled, about 40-50 minutes.
13. Preheat your oven to 170C.
14. Brush the tops with a lightly beaten egg, and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
15. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until cooked.

If you've ever been to Hong Kong...you'll be familiar with these delicious "hot dog buns".
The bun is slightly sweet and blends beautifully with the frankfurter. Cut the bun in half and squeeze in a bit of sauce or relish...

I gave this a go and will make it again. I used the bratwurst from Aldi in the jar as suggested. The recipe made 5 hotdogs - the amount in the jar - next time I will divide the dough into 6 as the ratio was too much bread for me. Fun to make - thank you.
