I froze in thermoservo. It took 2 days to 'freeze' though it was crystalized and not creamy. I followed the reciped exactly as directed.
Even freezing again in another container didn't help.
I stirred a couple of times to distribute the fruit, as it was freezing. It never froze properly.
It tasted nice but as it was not creamy, (crystals plus pools of runny milk) I won't be using this recipe again. I was surprised to see the amount of milk in it, as icecream is usually made with cream.

I just made this but am worried all the fruit will settle during freezing. Do we remove and stir every few hours?? Anyone know?

HI, sorry I'd be too late answering but you might be cutting it a little fine fitting the doubled recipe in your Thermoserver. If you did, how'd you go??

very yummy and easy to make. Great for a hot christmas
sounds awesome! Can this recipe be doubled? As in still fit in the TM bowl and thermoserver?
Cranberries instead of cherries
This was lovely, I look forward to making it again next Christmas!
I am making this for Christmas day after an extremely successful trial run. I froze portion sizes in silicon patty pans. When served upside down, the fruit is then at the top and it looks marvelous. A mint leaf and dash of raspberry coulis made it look as good as it tasted! Made some with rum instead of brandy.
Really yum, I used fresh dates, dried figs, cranberrys, sultanas and currants for mine
I made this last Christmas, it was amazing!
