Ingredients

Fritter

  • 260g --- kohlrabi, 2cm rough cubes
  • 160g --- carrot, 2cm rough cubes
  • 200g --- potato, 2cm rough cubes
  • 380g --- butternut pumpkin, 2cm rough cubes
  • 120g onion, cut into 8
  • 140g GF plain flour
  • 30g GF Cornflour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp Sea salt, fine
  • 1 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/2 bunch fresh parsley, leaves only
  • 1 Mild Chilli, Optional

Spice Mix

  • 2 heaped tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 heaped tsp ground cardamon
  • 2 heaped tsp ground turmeric
  • 2 heaped tsp ground corriander
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or ghee

Dipping Sauce

  • 200g Greek style yoghurt
  • Handful --- Mint leaves only
  • 1/2 to 1 --- Juicy Lemon, Juice only
  • 1 tsp sea salt

Recipe's preparation

    Frying Spices
  1. Place all of Spice Mix ingredients into bowl and fry 3min/Varoma/Speed Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" no MC, leave in bowl

  2. Fritter
  3. With Spices still in bowl add all the Fritter Ingredients and chop 15-20 Sec/Speed 5 with aid of spatula. If not all chopped mix well and chop again.  If too wet add more GF Flour 2-5 Sec/Speed5

    Clean Bowl

  4. Put a little oil in a pan as to cover the base bring to a mid to low heat and then place BIG heaped tbsp of fritter mixture into pan then flatten with a egg flip to about 10cm.  cook on both sides 1-2 mins each side. Place some kitchen paper into a thermoserver and place them in there to keep warm.  

  5. Dipping Sauce
  6. Place Mint leaves into bowl and chop 3-5 Sec/Speed7

    scrap down bowl, add rest of the ingredients and mix 5 Sec/Speed 5

     

  7. Serve Fritters with a wedge of lemon and spoonful of dipping sauce.  ENJOY

Tip

I LOVE to add hot chilli to mine.

If you dont have Kohlrabi you can use potato or subsitute other veg similar.

And if you prefer no spices just cut the step, they taste almost as good without.

    If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
