Ingredients

Lentils

  • 250 g red lentils

Chop and Fry

  • 1 onion, Peeled and Quartered
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cm ginger
  • 1 chilli, Any sort you want
  • 1/2 teaspoon tumeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon Ghee or butter or oil

Simmer

  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 750 g hot water

Recipe's preparation

    Rinsing
  1. Rinse the lentils in cold water.
  2. Frying
  3. Chop the onion, garlic, ginger and chilli for 5 seconds on speed 5.
  4. Add the tumeric, cumin, coriander and ghee / butter / oil and fry at 100 degrees for 2 mins on speed 3
  5. Add the garam masala and fry at 100 degrees for another 3 minutes on Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting"
  6. Simmer
  7. Add the water and rinsed lentils and simmer with the measuring cup on at 100 degrees for ten minutes on speed 2.
  8. Then put the MC in at an angle and simmer at 100 degrees for another ten minutes on speed 2.
  9. Serve
  10. Serve with rice and eat with friends.

Tip

For a hotter dahl use a smaller chilli. For milder, go with a larger one.
