Very nice - cooked for dinner - great comfort food!
Seriously delicious and easy to make. As there's only 2 of us we halved the ingredients and it was perfect.
My husband made this and he really enjoyed it with the beef being very tender and the mushrooms adding a lovely depth to the flavour.
Delicious! I substituted sweet potato for the parsnips, and left out the porcini mushrooms as i had none, but still a great dish. Served it with couscous.

This was a beautiful dish so easy to make and tastes delicious the meat was so tender will be one of my go to recipes
Now this is a satisfying main course. The beef is tender and tasty with the gravy being smooth and silky, compliments of the pearl barley. Delicious!
